Social Work

Social work support at Pre-Emptive Healthcare, working alongside our psychologists, psychiatrists and dietitian to support your wellbeing.

How a social worker can help

Social workers in mental health settings provide counselling and practical support for the challenges life brings: difficult experiences and trauma, low mood and anxiety, family and relationship stress, and major life transitions. They look at the whole picture, the person and their circumstances, and work with you on both how you feel and the practical realities you're facing.

At Pre-Emptive Healthcare, social work is part of a multidisciplinary team. That means your social worker can work closely with our psychologists, psychiatrists and dietitian so your support is joined up and consistent.

If you're not sure whether a social worker or a psychologist is the right fit for you, call us on 03 9989 3380 and our team will help you decide, or answer two quick questions on our Find Your Clinician page.
