CHILD + ADOLESCENT

Growing up isn’t easy. Between school, friendships, family dynamics, and big emotions they don’t yet have words for, children and teens can feel overwhelmed in ways that often go unnoticed—or misunderstood. As a parent or caregiver, it’s hard to know when to step in, how to help, or whether something more is going on beneath the surface.

At Pre-Emptive Healthcare, we support young people through the everyday struggles and more complex challenges that come with growing up. Whether it’s anxiety, low mood, school refusal, behavioural changes, or identity concerns—therapy provides a safe space where they can explore what they’re feeling, without pressure or judgment.

Our clinicians take a gentle, age-appropriate approach. For younger children, this often means using play and creative activities to help them process their world. For teens, it’s about building trust, offering a space where they can be heard without fear of being lectured or misunderstood. We also work closely with families—because kids don’t exist in a vacuum, and healing often happens together.
