Psychologist, Julijana Chochovski, is a highly experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist known for her compassionate and client-centred approach. With a strong background in leading mental health programs within the not-for-profit sector, she is dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals and families.

In 2020, Julijana co-founded Psych Consulting with the mission of offering ongoing professional development for mental health professionals, creating a platform dedicated to advancing knowledge and skills within the field. Furthermore, as a board-approved supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Julijana plays a pivotal role in mentoring emerging psychologists, sharing her expertise and nurturing the growth of the next generation of mental health professionals.

Her academic research in the Neuroendocrinology Unit at Monash Medical has deepened her understanding of the complex biochemical factors influencing mental health, enriching her clinical practice.

Julijana is currently collaborating on research with the University of Melbourne, exploring how young people in urban settings receive informal peer support for mental health challenges. This research aims to inform the development of meaningful resources for young people and school-based mental health programs.

In her clinical practice, Julijana offers evidence-based therapies designed to meet each client’s unique needs. She works with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Systems Therapy. When supporting people to heal from trauma, Julijana draws on Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a structured approach for post-traumatic stress, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), which helps the brain process and recover from distressing memories.

Her integrative approach empowers clients to navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and move forward with confidence in their mental health journey.
